While Samsung S20 was supposed to be the Holy Grail of the Samsung S-series, the device undoubtedly fell short of the hype, but Samsung is back with an obviously bigger bang. The new Galaxy Ultra blows our mind with three key features, and it will undoubtedly be remembered for them – the new 120Hz Quad HD OLED and its S-Pen support, and the versatile quad-camera on the back that relies on real optics instead of some hybrid trickery.

The Samsung S21 Ultra features lower-res OLEDs, no microSD expansion, and no chargers in the box. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S21 Ultra is what the original Ultra should have been – jam-packed with high-end features, no asterisks, no fine print.

Unlike the previous generation, the Galaxy S21 Ultra is the only S21 model to come with a 1440p OLED screen. And even better, it now supports 120Hz at that high resolution, so you don’t need to choose between high res and high refresh rate. This new Ultra screen also supports Adaptive Refresh Rate that can vary between 10Hz and 120Hz, just like the Note20 Ultra.

II. It also features a Portrait mode to add an artificial background blur, a Pro mode for manual control, a full 108MP stills mode, up to 8K video recording at 24 frames-per-second, or FHD and UHD at 60fps, and some unusual features like Director’s View and Single Take.

V. The Samsung S21 Ultra can take detailed photos using Night Mode, with realistic colours and a good detail level.

VI. Samsung promotes the ability to shoot 8K video, but it’s not only a little pointless if you don’t have an 8K TV to play the video back on, but it’s also a massive memory hog just one minute takes up to 580MB of storage space.

VII. Another incredible feature is Samsung’s Super Steady video stabilization mode, which keeps the video steady even when running to an uncanny degree. Director’s View records video using all the cameras at once, including the 40MP, f/2.2 aperture selfie camera, allowing you to “direct” your movie by switching between the cameras as you go.

VIII. The Galaxy S21 Ultra is powered by a 5,000mAh battery – the same as the S20 Ultra’s. The new Ultra’s total endurance rating is 114 hours, while the standalone test results read as follows: 35+ hours on call, 15 hours on web browsing, and 18 hours on video playback.

I. Versatile camera and a mind-bending Zoom feature.

II. Amazing battery life

III. Brightest display with an impressive adaptive refresh rate

V. Unique 12-bit colour RAW capture at 108MP

VI. S Pen stylus support

VII. Next-gen Wi-fi 6E standard support

I. Just like many of its predecessors, it is quite humongous to carry and use, especially with an S Pen case on

II. Buying the Samsung S21 Ultra for the whopping sum of $1200 gets you just 128GB, no charger, earbuds, or memory card slot.

III. The new ultrasonic finger scanner is still quite slow when compared to its competition

IV. Softness in the main camera sample edges
