Former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore has called on Nigerians to pass a vote of no confidence on President Muhammadu Buhari over what he called “abysmal performance in Office”.
Sowore made this call on Wednesday in the face of the recent happenings in the country particularly the security challenges ravaging the country.
Being a strong voice against Buhari’s government amid criticism of how the issue is handled, Sowore took to his verified Twitter handle said; “I hereby pass a Vote of No Confidence on President Muhammadu Buhari’s leadership”.
“Fellow Nigerians: We are passing a “Vote of No Confidence” on President Muhammadu Buhari over his abysmal performance in Office. We only need you to retweet this by writing “I hereby pass a Vote of No Confidence on President Muhammadu Buhari’s leadership”
This declaration follows a day after the presidency alleged that there are some political actors and religious leaders plotting to overthrow Buhari.
“Championed by some disgruntled religious and past political leaders, the intention is to eventually throw the country into a tailspin, which would compel a forceful and undemocratic change of leadership,” the Senior Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina had said.
