Ifeanyi Ubah, a member of the Senate representing Anambra South Senatorial District in the National Assembly, has emerged candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) for the November 6 governorship election of Anambra.

The YPP national leadership in Abuja cleared Ubah on Thursday.

Addressing journalists, Ubah assured that despite the crisis rocking the South-East, elections would go on as scheduled without disruptions, adding that his party would emerge winner.

The Senator also debunked reports suggesting that his party was behind the crisis rocking the People’s Democratic Party and the All Progressives Grand Alliance in the state.

He noted that contrary to insinuations in some quarters, the YPP has no hand in the issues of the opposition parties.
