The National Caretaker and Extra-ordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has disclosed that an appeal committee to look into complaints and petitions that may arise from the ongoing membership registration and revalidation exercise will be created.
The party’s National Secretary, Sen. John Akpanudoedehe made this known in a statement issued in Abuja on Friday.
According to him, the decision was part of the other matters including the forthcoming Federal Capital Territory (FCT) area council elections as well as the activities of the party in the first quarter of the year that were discussed and reviewed at the committee’s ninth meeting, held at the party’s national secretariat.
“The meeting also commended the chairman of CECPC, Gov. Mai Mala Buni, for his peaceful mien and dexterity, which have endeared high profile defections to APC,” he said.
The scribe further stated that all resolutions reached at the meeting were in line with the CECPC’s commitment to implementing all decisions of the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC), particularly the task of ensuring internal democracy, repositioning and rebuilding the party.
Also, the APC stakeholders passed a vote of confidence on President Muhammadu Buhari, praising him for his handling of the wave of insecurity in the country.
“After extensive deliberations, the CECPC resolved to commend the President Muhammadu Buhari for the counteractions taken against the spate of insecurity in some parts of the country, and pass a vote of confidence on Mr President”, the statement also read.
