Lagos state police have confirmed the arrest of five suspected robbers for allegedly robbing people of their properties and valuables in the Idimu and Mushin areas of the state.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, mentioned in a statement on Sunday that arms and ammunition were recovered from the suspects while they were stopped for a random search.
He stated, “In furtherance of the investigation into the case of one Peter Arinola, aka Blood, who was arrested with an English pistol at the Empire area of Surulere recently while threatening and harassing a commercial sex worker, the Lagos State Police Command has arrested additional two suspected armed robbers in connection with the case as arms and ammunition were recovered from them.
“The suspects were arrested by police operatives attached to the Idimu Division based on enhanced intelligence by the Surulere and Idimu divisions with a view to apprehending the suspects, who are still suspected to have some arms in their possession.
