They are semi-aquatic egg-laying mammals. They have streamlined bodies, with flat, broad tails and webbed feet. Platypuses do not have mammary glands so they secret milk through their body surfaces which makes it look like sweat. They are the only mammals in the world that lay eggs.
2. CANTORS GIANT SOFTSHELL TURTLE
It lives in freshwater and lives almost all its life buried in sand, hiding from enemies. Just like every other species of turtle, they have extremely powerful bites. Their weirdest characteristic must be their ability to grow in length of about 7 ft.
3. STONE FISH
The stone fish dwells in the Pacific and Indian oceans. It is known for its very poisonous venom which shoots from its dorsal spines. The stone-fish has the ability to camouflage itself as a rock and this is aided by its stone-like color and texture.
4. PROBOSCIS MONKEY
The proboscis monkey (Or Long nose Moneky) lives on an island in Southeast Asia. The males have a dominating long nose which makes them more attractive to their females.
5. LEAFY SEADRAGON
The leafy seadragon makes the list of the most odd-looking seahorses. The ‘leaves’ on its skin makes it easy to camouflage itself as a floating patch of seaweed.
