A former commissioner for Youths and Sports in Imo State, Kenneth Emelu, has expressed optimism that a former governor of the state, Rochas Okorocha, would succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.

He added that “no power will stop” the former governor from being the next president of Nigeria.

Emelu made this known when he addressed Okorocha’s supporters at Spibat mansion in Owerri.

He said, “No power in Africa, even in the world would stop a man whose time has come.”

Meanwhile, a political support group, ‘South West Agenda 23’ (SWAGA 23) has portrayed the National Leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as the best person to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.

Speaking during the courtesy visit, Adeyeye disclosed that the group was in the palace to canvass the support of the monarch in launching the group in Ogun State.

Senators Gbenga Obadara, Soji Akanbi, former Commissioner for Information in Oyo State, Bosun Oladele, secretary of the group, the immediate past Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Suraj Adekunbi, former House of Reps member from Ogun state, Ishiaq Abiodun Akinlade, among other APC stalwarts from the South-West region were also present at the palace.
