The Big Brother Naija Show (BBN) is by far one of the Biggest reality Tv shows in Africa. Having produced 5 seasons, the show has proven itself to be here to stand the test of time.

Year in year out, the show has produced countless celebrities in the world of entertainment. However, with the 6th season of the show in view, and the announcement of a whopping 90 Million naira up for grabs, let us take a look at these 5 outstanding ex-housemates who did not win the game, but are doing absolutely amazing in their respective fields.

  1. Ebuka Obi-Uchendu was one of the first sets to grace the maiden edition of the show. Being a part of the 1st set of 14 housemates gave him some level of popularity. Although he did not win as he finished in eighth place, as it stands, Ebuka has the most eminent career of all the BBNaija housemates. Leveraging on the platform, Ebuka has evolved to become one of the most popular and energetic Nigerian TV show hosts.

2. Bisola Aiyeola was a contestant in the Big Brother Naija season 2 (See Globe). She was one of the first set of housemates that caught the attention of the viewers. She lost to Michael Efe Ejeba, popularly known as Efe, who went home with a cash prize of N25m and an SUV.

Nonetheless, not winning the show did not hinder her from chasing her dreams of becoming a fantastic entertainer. She has established her grounds as an exceptional actress and singer and has been able to build herself a fanbase.

She won the AMVCA Trailblazer Award at the 2018 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award and won herself a car.


3. Popular Nigerian movie star, Gideon Okeke, also came under the spotlight in 2006, when he appeared on screen as a contestant on the maiden edition of the Big Brother Nigeria show. Unfortunately, he lost to Katung Aduwak, who went home with $100,000

After the show, he joined the cast of the popular television series, Tinsel, which set in motion his career as an actor and filmmaker. Also, Gideon appeared on the South African TV series ‘Jacobs cross’.

In 2016, he was cast in the drama-thriller, 93 Days, starring alongside Danny Glover, For his role in the movie, Gideon received an AMVCA nomination for his representation of Dr Morris Ibeawuchi, one of the surviving doctors of the Nigerian Ebola crisis.


4. Natacha Akide, fondly called Tacha was on her way to winning the (Big Brother Naija Pepper Dem) edition when she got disqualified for assaulting a fellow housemate, Mercy Eke.

In spite of her disqualification, her die-hard fans, called Titans have stood by her and supported her through thin and thick.

They have kept her trending on social media almost daily ever since her exit from the house. Apart from being an influencer, Tacha is also a very business-oriented individual and has more than 3 products to her name.

5. Tobi Bakre 

Before his entrance into the Big Brother Naija (Double Wahala) house back in 2018, Tobi worked as an investment banker. However, he rose to limelight after he finished as a finalist on the show.

After he left the show, he ditched the banking industry and ventured into the entertainment industry. Tobi can currently be described as an actor, a  published photographer, model, host, and one of the biggest brand influencers in Nigeria. 

In addition, Tobi has a way of entertaining his social media followers with funny videos, workout routine, and above all, shows off his amazing abs which gets all the ladies stuck to his page. In this line, he has been able to build himself an increasing fanbase.
